Pre-Licensing Program and Continuing Education Classes

Trust your education to those who are successful, long-term dealers that know first hand the operations of a dealer owned business. OIADA has 60 years in this industry. This association is non-profit and owned by you the dealers.

All persons who desire to become a licensed motor vehicle dealer must complete an 8-hour pre-licensing seminar before DMV will issue them a dealers license. All Dealers must complete 5 hours of Continuing Education for each year in a licensing period (15 hours for 3 years licensing).

OIADA Has Two Ways To Complete Your Education Requirements

We have a Pre-Licensing course you complete at home. You will receive a notebook with all the information in it so you will not be staring at a computer screen for 8 hours and the book is yours to keep for reference later. Since introducing this program we have found it very popular so if this type of study is for you give us a call

We also have another method of completing your Continuing Education requirements. We have 5-hour books you can purchase (and again yours to keep for later reference). You can complete 5, 10 or 15 hours in this manner. This means you can choose from classroom education, online education, Oregon Dealer News, formerly The Squeaky Wheel, home study books and there is always the seminars available at our annual convention.
